The Florida Governor appeared on CNN Live with journalist Kaitlan Collins and discussed Trump’s chances in the 2024 bid for the White House.
When asked if he thinks Trump can beat Biden, keeping a straight face, DeSantis replied, “I don’t,” in a clip shared by Collins on online platform X (formerly Twitter).

Furthermore, Governor DeSantis received strong political backing from a large number of Americans for his attempts to bring American citizens back from the Israeli conflict zone.
In an appearance on ‘The Megyn Kelly Show’, DeSantis provided a detailed explanation of how he was able to evacuate US citizens, including Floridians, from Israel amidst the ongoing conflict with the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

This is because he is unsure of its effectiveness in taking guns away from dangerous individuals, as reported by CNN.
Rather, the Republican presidential contender declared he would institutionalize more people with mental health difficulties against their will. This was in response to the Lewiston, Maine mass shooting that left at least 18 dead in a restaurant and bowling alley.
Under the “red flag” statute, law enforcement in Florida has the authority to petition judges to temporarily prohibit dangerous individuals from owning or obtaining a firearm.
According to DeSantis, there would have been no discernible impact in Maine if Florida’s legislation—which permits judges to prohibit or seize firearms from individuals going through a mental health crisis—had been implemented there.
Despite DeSantis’ opposition to the law during his 2018 campaign for governor, it has stayed in effect during his entire five-year term in government.
In a similar vein, DeSantis stated that although things have “gotten a little bit more liberal,” more people should be institutionalized going forward.
