Megyn Kelly became visibly upset as she was issuing an apology to her viewers for some of her statements in the past where she may have been supportive of people thinking they were another gender. Now it seems like Megyn Kelly is retracting her statements and apologizing. She said she thought she was being anti-bullying back then, but now she sees the damage that it did to people, specifically children.
She wanted to be helpful and empathetic, but now she realizes that’s part of the problem. Letting children think they are one thing when they’re not, is the problem. Allowing children to undergo treatments or procedures is on a whole ‘nother level of things, and that’s sort of what she’s talking about now, according to Trending Politics.
Megyn Kelly became emotional on her show Thursday, sharing her regrets about past reporting on the issue of gender dysphoria and allowing children under 18 to pursue gender transition surgery or chemical therapies that some who transitioned are now publicly admitting they regret.
Speaking on the verge of tears, Kelly spoke passionately about her past positions which she says were misinformed and meant only to support young people struggling with their identity as male or female.
“I’ve realized now that I was part of this problem. My heart was in the right place. I wasn’t trying to push anything bad on kids. I thought I was being supportive of them,” she said.
“I thought I was promoting anti-bullying. Now I have such regret about it.”
