Miracle and Charles may have a 61-year age difference, but this couple refuses to be defined by the decades that separate them.

The newlyweds are even committed to creating a family, which may surprise many, given that Charles is 13 years older than his wife’s grandfather. However, their love proves that nothing can stop the bond between two soulmates.

Miracle Pogue, 24, and Charles Pogue, who is 85, crossed paths while she was working at a laundromat in 2019, and they immediately formed a close bond.

Miracle recounted how Charles, a retired real estate agent, often came to the laundromat and asked for her help. She says that one day Charles put a piece of paper on the counter that read: Write me your number.

For them, age did not become an obstacle at all. Miracle knew that Charles was older, but the exact age remained a mystery. To him, what mattered most was the positive energy he gave her and how comfortable he made her feel.

After two months, the 24-year-old learned Charles’ age and her feelings for him had grown even more. She further explains that her husband’s age is not a concern for her. Miracle points out: I don’t care if he’s 100 or 55, I like him. I thought he was maybe 60 or 70 because he looks so good. He is always up and active.

Miracle said her mother, Tamika, 45, and her grandfather, Joe, 72, fully supported their relationship from the beginning, recognizing the happiness Charles brought to her life. In contrast, her father, Kareem, 47, was initially more resistant.

She shared: Grandpa told me that if I’m happy and that’s what I want, then he’s happy too. But my father’s answer was a ‘No’.

Miracle added: I told him I needed his support and once he met Charles and talked to him he really loved it.

The couple have faced criticism online for their huge age gap, but Miracle said that won’t make a difference. She even revealed that they are looking forward to starting a family together and hopes to have two children with Charles, who is childless.

“I want him to have another generation. We are planning to visit an IVF clinic to discuss our options,” she noted.

Their IVF journey is not without its challenges and Miracle admitted that her experience at the clinic was “quite overwhelming”. However, she remains hopeful and optimistic.
